Memorandum of Association of Anglo-Indian Educational and Charitable Society, Kerala.

  1. Name: The name of the society shall be Anglo-Indian Educational and Charitable Society, Kerala., abbreviated as AIECSK.
  2. Office: The Registered Office of the Society shall be situated anywhere in the State of Kerala and for the present ,until otherwise decided, the Society shall function from Door No. 59/3833, Perumanoor, Cochin – 682 015, Kerala State.
  3. Area of operation: Within the State of Kerala.
  4. Objects of the Society: The objects of the Society are generally for the well-being of the Anglo-Indian community of Kerala, with concentration on development of educational, religious ,social, cultural and economical sectors of Anglo Indian community and to promote education as well as the socio, economic, spiritual, cultural, and educational advancement of children belonging to the Anglo-Indian Community of Kerala and such objects shall inter-alia include the following.
  • To function as a service organization to foster a spirit of charity, concern and service mind among the members of Anglo-Indian Community and to public in general:
  • To provide a forum for open discussions of all matters of community interest provided that in any case the Society shall not be involved in sectarian and partisan policies, however the Society shall maintain an equidistant relationship with the national political parties with which the Society will interact for the welfare of the Anglo-Indian Community.
  • To render educational , social, cultural , vocational and humanitarian services to the community at large and to unite the community in its religious practices.
  • To constitute and establish grants, scholarships, rewards and prizes for encouragement and to develop competitive spirits, in young men and women, and also to the deserving and the financially poor students.
  • To promote spiritual , physical, mental, educational development and upliftment of children of all ages without any distinction of caste , creed or religion.
  • To edit , print, publish and sell books, periodicals, souvenirs and other communication media in furtherance of the objectives of the Society.
  • To conduct personality development programmes for students and others
  • To promote and give instructions on the Bible, Geetha, Koran , Yoga, Naturopathy and other spiritual studies to the general public.
  • To construct , maintain , libraries , reading rooms and educational institutions and hostels for the use and convenience of the students and the general public for charitable purposes
  • To encourage the teaching fraternity for conducting seminars and participating in training classes for them, financially aid them to attend such programs and to institute awards and prices etc., so as to bring out the best in them so that they can guide their students in a better way.

CLASSES OF MEMBERSHIP

  • Life Member: Life Members shall be such persons who are members in good standing of the Anglo-Indian Community in the prescribed geographical area who contributes a sum of Rs.10,000/- on admission to the corpus of the Society . Life Members need not pay annual subscription to the Society.
  • Patron Member: Patron members shall be such persons who are members in good standing of Anglo-Indian Community in the prescribed geographical area who contribute a sum of Rs.25,000/- on admission to the corpus of the Society. Patron members need not pay annual subscriptions to the Society.
  • Honorary Patron Member: Honorary Patron Members shall be such persons who are nominated by the Society in its general body meeting or in the Executive Committee Meeting in view of their patronage and support to the Society by virtue of their placements in the community and other sectors
  • Institutional Members: An Anglo-Indian organization approved by the Society or a Member Association of the Union of Anglo-Indian Associations, Kerala State (Reg:No.9/53) which contributes a sum of Rs.25,000/- to the corpus of the Society. Institutional Members can nominate a member to represent them in the Society. But they will not have voting rights and are not eligible to be elected to the Executive Committee.
